Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 pound hot Italian sausage links, casings removed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked orzo pasta
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 3 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 2 minutes. Add orzo and stir until it begins to turn golden, about 2 minutes. Add chives and oregano; stir. Pour in Swanson Chicken Broth.
  2. Bring to a low boil; reduce heat, cover, and let simmer over low heat until pasta is al dente, about 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Top with parsley.
