  • 4 oranges, halved
  • 7 stalks celery, cut into large chunks

  • 6 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup poultry seasoning

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken broth and apple juice in a food-safe container large enough to hold your turkey and the brine ingredients. Squeeze juice from orange halves and drop spent orange halves into the broth mixture; add celery, onion, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, and sage leaves to the mixture.
